Grand Rapids Football Club is pleased to announce that Defender Caleb Postlewait will return for the 2018 NPSL season.
Postlewait, who made 14 appearances for the Boys in Blue during the 2017 campaign, was named GRFC Defender of the Year and became a fan favorite because of his willingness to defend and his silky smooth play on the ball. He also chipped in offensively with a goal in our 6-1 win over FC Indiana. He also served as captain on three occasions when Tony Deakin was out injured.
“I am beyond excited to be playing for GRFC for my second season” said Postlewait. “Having the opportunity to represent the city again is something I’m very appreciative of, so I thank the coaching staff, the players and the fans for having me back. With how things went last year, I feel there is a lot for us to prove and with the talent we have coming in for 2018, I believe that we can reposition ourselves as one of the top teams in the league. I think I speak for all of the boys when I say we are all eager to be playing again in front of our wonderful support system for another season. I can’t wait to get out there.”
GRFC Head Coach Lewis Robinson is very excited to have Postlewait back, commenting: “Caleb is a fantastic player and a great leader. His versatility and experience playing at higher levels is very valuable to our team. He is genuinely committed to our club and Grand Rapids soccer and we look forward to having him with us in 2018″.
