Grand Rapids FC adds another Assistant Coach to roster for 2016

Grand Rapids Football Club is excited to announce that Steve Herdsman has joined the coaching staff as an assistant and will coordinate Speed and Agility Sessions for the players.

Steve HerdsmanHerdsman, who was born in Kingston, Jamaica, is the assistant coach at Cornerstone University, holds a USSF “B” License and has won several State Cups at the Youth level with Midwest United. He was also the coach of the PDL side West Michigan Edge in 2007 and 2008. Steve played professionally at Spandau BC in Germany and he also played in the MLS with Colorado Rapids and Columbus Crew.

“I am proud to join the GRFC staff and I look forward to working with the other coaches and players to make the 2016 season a success” said Herdsman.

GRFC President Matt Roberts commented “We are very excited to add Steve to an already fantastic staff as he has a ton of experience working with top players. His playing background at the professional level will help us be more prepared to play in big games at the NPSL level”.
