Grand Rapids FC Adds Assistant Coach to the Staff

Grand Rapids Football Club is proud to announce the hiring of our first assistant coach Dan Lipon.

Coach Dan Lipon is entering his 4th full year as the Varsity Girls coach at Lowell High School. Lipon also led the Boys Varsity Soccer team at Forest Hills Northern from 2009-2014, and was the MHSAA Division II- Boy’s Soccer Chair from 2010-2013.

Lipon has coached club teams with the Grand Rapids Crew Juniors, Alliance FC, Waza FC, and CW3 and currently holds a USSF “D” coaching license. Coach Lipon was recently named Technical Director of Coaching for LASSO.

Coach Lipon grew up in Livonia, Michigan where he learned the game playing club soccer for the Michigan Jaguars and Livonia Stevenson High School. After graduating from high school, he played at Schoolcraft College. Coach Lipon continued his education at Eastern Michigan University where he graduated with an education degree and currently works at Bushnell Elementary as a Physical Education teacher.
