Grand Rapids FC is excited to announce our 27th player signing for the 2015 season Cole Dehen.

Dehen, a Defender who will wear number 17, is a graduate of East Kentwood High School and Olivet College.

While playing at East Kentwood, the team won two state championships.

At Olivet Dehen flourished, as he was chosen the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week three times. He was also garnered with All-MIAA second team accolades his Junior year. His Senior year saw him selected to the All-MIAA first team and NCAA D3 All-Region third team. As a team Olivet had the greatest period of it’s history as the team achieved the best record in school history for three years straight. He was also named captain of the team his Junior and Senior years.

“Cole is a player who developed a little later than most but has made himself an outstanding Defender” commented Founder Matt Roberts. “He is big and can win aerial battles well and tackles every chance he can. His passing ability out of the back is what caught the coaches eyes at the open tryout”.
