Grand Rapids FC Signs NCAA Assist Leader

Grand Rapids Football Club is proud to announce another player signing for the 2016 season. Please help us welcome Sean Conerty to the squad!

Conerty, who can play as a Midfielder or a Forward and will wear number 21, finished his senior season this past fall at Western Michigan where he led the NCAA in assists per game during the 2014 campaign.

“I am very excited to represent the city that taught me all I know about the game of soccer” said Conerty. “I can’t wait to play in front of my hometown and make the fans proud”.

GRFC Associate Head Coach Lewis Robinson was quoted “We are excited to add Sean to our squad for this summer and we feel he brings us some great attacking qualities. He is a creative player that comes with a proven record of winning and creating chances at the D1 collegiate level. Having worked with him in the past we are really looking forward to having him with us in our first NPSL season”.
