Grand Rapids FC Signs Two More Players for 2016

Grand Rapids Football Club is proud to announce our 7th and 8th player signings for the 2016 season Mark and Domenic Barone!

The twin brothers, Mark a Midfielder and Domenic a Forward, played at East Kentwood High School and Michigan State University.

Mark, who will wear number 7, said “This past summer was such a great experience for the soccer population of our city. I can’t believe how much support we’ve had, the sport has grown so much in the past years. Growing up, playing in this area, soccer was very foreign to most people, so it means a lot to be able to see it grow first hand. Hopefully we will have many more great memories in 2016 like we had this past summer”.

Domenic, who will wear number 10, commented “I am very excited to be back for another great summer with GRFC. Last summer was very special for me and our entire city. We look forward to seeing the growing support that our city has for the game and will work hard to make 2016 special”.

GRFC President Matt Roberts about the Barone’s signing “We are very excited to have Mark and Domenic back in the 2016 squad. They are special talents who can change the game with their speed, creativity, and technical ability. Mark is able to play multiple positions so he is very valuable, and Domenic scores goals which is the name of the game. We are fortunate to have them back next year and we can’t wait to see them in the Blue of GRFC again next summer”.
