Grand Rapids Football Club is proud to announce another signing for the 2016 season. Please help us welcome Scott Doney!
Doney, who is a 6′ 5” forward and will wear number 11, is originally from New Zealand and is currently a Sophomore at the University of Buffalo.
“I’m excited to join Grand Rapids FC this summer” said Doney. “I am also very much looking forward to playing for the city and the Grand Army.”
Associate Head Coach Lewis Robinson on the forward signing: “We are thrilled at the opportunity to have Scott join our squad this summer. For a young player he brings great experience from the Division 1 collegiate level, and also from his home country of New Zealand with the U20 National program. He possesses great aerial ability, good physical attributes, and is a good finisher, which made him a valuable addition to our roster. I think he will be a great asset to our team and we are looking forward to getting working with him in our first NPSL season.
