Grand Rapids Football Club is excited to announce that we have come to an agreement with George Moni to continue as the Head Coach for the 2016 season.
Moni, who led GRFC to a 5-5-3 record during the 2015 season, is the Director of Player and Coach Development for Midwest United FC. He holds a USSF “A” License, a EUFA “B” License, and an NSCAA Premier Diploma.
“I am extremely delighted and honored to continue as the head coach of GRFC” said Moni. “I couldn’t be any happier with what we achieved last season in terms of team quality, infrastructure and community involvement. I am also pleased that GRFC will be a part of the NPSL beginning with the 2016 season. This league will provide higher level competition and a lot more excitement for our fans. Our community is a soccer loving one and I and my coaching staff will do our very best to represent Grand Rapids and west Michigan with class and integrity”.
GRFC President Matt Roberts commented “We are thrilled that George is coming back for the 2016 season. He is a top coach and manager and did a fantastic job of leading our team in 2015 with the short timeline we gave him. His passion, vision, and knowledge will help us write the next positive chapter in the GRFC story”.
