GRFC To Host First Annual West Michigan Soccer Awards

Grand Rapids, MI – Grand Rapids Football Club announced this morning that they will host the first ever West Michigan Soccer Awards.  The awards night will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at the Wege Ballroom on the campus of Aquinas College, and will recognize those in the West Michigan Soccer Community who are doing great things to grow the game here in our backyard.

“We want to recognize those soccer enthusiasts all over West Michigan who are working tirelessly to help improve the standard of the game at every level” said GRFC President Matt Roberts.  “Our goal is to shed some light on the tens of thousands of players, coaches, referees, administrators, and supporters who do so much to create a fantastic level of competition in our area.  We are very excited to hopefully make this a yearly event so we can highlight all the great achievements the local soccer scene is producing.  From the youngest players just starting out to the top level GRFC athletes, there are great things going on in the beautiful game here, and we want to let a greater audience know about them.”
