FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

HELM SOCCER WITH LANDON DONOVAN, BRIAN CHING AND STUART HOLDEN COMING TO GRAND RAPIDS

Grand Rapids Football Club is proud to announce that we will be hosting a three day youth soccer camp put on by Helm Elite Soccer (Helm) in July of 2016. Helm, which was founded and run by Landon Donovan, Brian Ching, and Stuart Holden, will put on the camp at MVP Fieldhouse in Cascade. … The camp will be designed for 10-18 year old players and will be a chance to learn from some of the best US National Team Players to play the game.

In addition to the camp, Helm will be spending time with GRFC staff, coaches, players, and fans to help promote the game of soccer here in West Michigan and raise funds for local charities.

“We couldn’t be more excited that Landon, Brian, and Stu are coming to put on a camp here in Grand Rapids” said GRFC President Matt Roberts. “To be chosen as a host city for one of Helm Elite’s camps is truly an honor. It is a testament to the growth of the game here in West Michigan and our fans who made it clear to Helm that this is a great market to be in. We are looking forward to not only hosting the camp, but putting on a few events that weekend as well to raise money for charities around the city so we can continue to give back to the community that supports us”.

Landon Donovan on coming to GR: “When Brian, Stu and I launched HELM Soccer back in May, 2015 we instantly heard from GRFC in the Twittersphere. The demand and excitement was amazing so it was a no-brainer to bring Helm to Grand Rapids. We are very excited to offer our youth soccer program in the summer of 2016”.
