Rodriguez, 19, enjoyed a breakout rookie season with GRFC in 2017, tying for the team lead with five goals in 11 competitive appearances and was subsequently named as the club’s Attacking and Young Player of the Year. He became the youngest goal scorer in team history when he netted a brace versus Lansing United on June 10.
A native of Ionia, Mich., Rodriguez was a two-time Man of the Match recipient during his first NPSL campaign. In addition to being recognized for his two-goal performance against the Hoops, Rodriguez was honored after scoring once in a 3-0 victory over FC Indiana on July 9.
