Grand Rapids FC welcomes back a familiar face to the midfield

Grand Rapids, MI – GRFC has a rich history of local talent and we are excited to welcome back one of the originals, Lito Esquivel. Esquivel, who represented The Boys in Blue in their first ever season back in 2015, it a welcomed addition of game knowledge to the 2021 squad. An East Kentwood and Davenport alumni, Esquivel is no stranger to success on the pitch. He won a National Championship with the Davenport Panthers and has been a big part of Grand Rapids FC successes as well.

Head Coach Stu Collins echoed this, saying, “Lito is no stranger to the club and will offer a lot of experience to us this summer.” Collins and Esquivel have a bit of history together that dates back to the Davenport days. “I have both played with and coached Lito, so I understand the value he can bring a group at this level.”

Lito, when asked about the signing and the upcoming season, said, “I’m back!”
