Grand Rapids native Eric Conerty returns for third season

Grand Rapids, Mi – GRFC is excited to welcome back Eric Conerty to the 2021 roster.  Conerty is a native of Grand Rapids, graduating from Forest Hills Central High School and currently playing for Western Michigan University.  In addition to his experience with GRFC and WMU, he also has experience training with MLS club, Columbus Crew.

Conerty’s time spent with Grand Rapids FC in previous seasons will add a level of depth to the team.  “This is my 3rd summer with GRFC and the strides the club has made has been remarkable. The fans, players, and staff create a professional environment that is second to none. I’m beyond excited to get the season going and show our fans the quality of our squad!”

Head Coach Stuart Collins weighs in on the dynamic of Conerty.  “Eric is no stranger to GRFC fans. Eric is an excellent footballer with exceptional technique and a high level of game intelligence. I feel like Eric can be a big factor within the style we are looking to implement. It is fantastic to have hometown players of this caliber within our squad.”
