GRFC adds USL2-tested Norwegian goalkeeper to 2021 Squad

Grand Rapids, Mi – GRFC welcomes Tor Erik Larsen to its 2021 backline. Larsen, an Aalesund, Norway native, brings with him plenty of USL2 experience. This includes an appearance in a USL2 Final with his former team, Reading United. He also had a large part in Reading’s US Open Cup run that saw them bowing out in the later rounds in a loss to USL Championship side, Louisville FC.

Larsen is thrilled to represent the Boys in Blue and the community saying, “GRFC has one of the best fan bases in the country and I’m buzzing to come play exciting football in front of them.”

“Tor exemplifies everything that goalkeeping in the modern game is about.” said Head Coach, Stu Collins. “First and foremost, he is an excellent goalkeeper in the traditional sense, but also possesses qualities that will be a huge asset to us in terms of how we want to play. Tor is a strong character with a good work ethic and I think he will contribute greatly in all aspects this summer.”

More player announcements to come as GRFC readies itself for it’s first match less than a month away!
