Grand Rapids, MI – Grand Rapids Football Club announced the signing of Eric Conerty, a forward from Forest Hills Central and Columbus Crew Academy, for the remainder of the 2018 campaign.
During his time at Forest Hills Central, the 19 year old striker helped lead his team to an overall record of 34-5-4. As a senior, he posted 40 goals and 12 assists and was named First Team All-State, First Team All-American, and to the All-Conference, All-District, and All-Region Team. Conerty currently holds the record for most goals by a freshman with 20 and the best goal per game ratio. As a member of the Columbus Crew Academy, Conerty helped lead his team to a 54-10-2 overall record.
Conerty will be eligible to play for the Boys in Blue starting with Friday night’s matchup with FC Indiana at Houseman Field.
