Grand Rapids, Mi – GRFC signs midfielder Milos Christoforou for 2021. Christoforou was born in the UK, but grew up in the outskirts of Barcelona, Spain. He played amateur levels until the age of 18 in Barcelona, with his first senior team appearance at 15. He then began college football at Durham University in the top tier of college leagues in the UK, playing for 3 years before moving to Nova Southeastern University in D2 in 2019 to pursue an MBA.
“I am positively buzzing to represent GRFC in the upcoming season” Christoforou tells us. “I’ve heard fantastic things about Michigan and the city of Grand Rapids. I can’t wait to get stuck into what I am sure will be a highly successful season with a club with such a rich culture and fanbase!”
Head Coach Stuart Collins looks forward to adding Christoforou to the lineup for this season. “Milos stands out as soon as you see him play simply because of his imposing frame. The club has had a history of big powerful forwards and we felt it was only right that we keep that tradition going. Milos is big and powerful but also has good technical qualities, he will cause problems for opposing players and be an attacking threat for our team.”
