Local Standout Maher Joins Women’s Squad

Grand Rapids Football Club is proud to announce our 4th signing for the GRFC Women’s team. Please help us welcome Sam Maher!

Maher, a Midfielder who will wear number 21, is originally from Caledonia and played four years at Central Michigan University.

“I am beyond ecstatic to be back playing competitively in Grand Rapids this summer” said Maher. “I hope to make an impact on the women’s side using my knowledge I have gained from my 4 years of experience at the D1 collegiate level and hope to bring some grit and competitiveness to the team as well. I am very grateful for this opportunity and cannot wait to begin training this upcoming summer”.

Women’s Head Coach Lewis Robinson commented “Sam is one of West Michigan’s top players and is someone we wanted immediately to be a part of our first GRFC roster. She is a dynamic midfield player that will bring a lot to our team on the field, and she is excited to come home to GR to represent her city.”

Don’t miss any of the action this summer as a season ticket will get you admission to 11 Men’s and 5 Women’s games: https://grandrapidsfc.com/season-tickets-2017/
