Top 5 Reasons To Come Out to 5/3 Ballpark Saturday Night

Grand Rapids FC will take on La Raza All-Stars in a charity match on Saturday night at 5/3 Ballpark.  Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00pm and you can purchase tickets at or at the ballpark ticket office.  La Raza is the largest Hispanic Soccer League in Grand Rapids and they have picked an All-Star team to play against GRFC.

Need another reason to come out?  How about 5……..

5.  Past Players Come Back in to the Fold – Several players who have played with GRFC over the first three seasons will step on the field in Blue once more.  They include Anes Suhonic, AJ Dufendach, Beau Prey, Zac McCabe, Nick Capiscolto, and Nick Groenewold.

4.  Lewis Robinson – Our new Director of Soccer Operations will take charge of the Men’s team for the first time after leading the GRFC Women to a United Women’s Soccer Championship this past summer.

3.  Award Winners Past and Present – Several names that all GRFC supporters know will be on hand as well, and many have been end of season winners and Man of the Match recipients.  Some of these include vice-captain Noble Sullivan, Caleb Postlewait, Gabe Mateo, Elmedin Zukic, Jalen Rodriguez, Nick Abdoo, Jeo Pantoja, TJ VanSlooten, and Tarwo Konbloa.

2.  The Grand Army – The best fans in the business will be on hand supporting the Boys in Blue, and they will be in full voice to help GRFC to another win.  Join them at the pre-party on the Pepsi Deck from 5:00-7:00 for $2 Beers and songs galore!

And last but not least……. 1. Roger Garner –  Our Director of Game Day Operations and “The Godfather” is the reason we are putting on this event.  The man with a smile on his face all the time was diagnosed with Multiple Myloma in February so we decided to put on a night in his honor.  Proceeds from the match will go towards Roger’s medical bills and the American Cancer Society.

Come out and support this great cause on Saturday night and see some great soccer!
